- Proof of home address: Bank statemet or utility bill no more than 3 months old.
- Photo ID: Passport or Photo Driving Licence.
- A valid credit or debit card for the rentals payment and deposit.
Our accessory rentals are subject to these terms and conditions
- All rentals are calculated on a 24-hour basis from time of pick-up
- Additional charges maybe levied if equipment is not returned by the agreed time.
- Additional charge rates will be levied at 150% times the single day rate shown in our tariff applicable to the piece of equipment
- We will always seek to allow extensions of rental period however, this is not always possible and we reserve the right that equipment is returned in accordance with the terms of the original rental.
- The hirer is responsible for the total cost of any repairs/replacement up to the full value of the equipment hired if damaged/lost while in their possession unless you have opted for the excess reduction or damage insurance. The provision of adequate insurance cover for the equipment and its contents (where applicable) are the sole responsibility of the hirer.
- Notwithstanding the hirer having opted for excess reduction insurance, the hirer shall be responsible for the total cost of repair or replacement of equipment damaged by impact where the hirer has driven under an obstruction lower than the overall height of the hirer’s vehicle with the equipment fitted. The hirer’s responsibility remains whether or not there was any warning sign in place on the obstruction.
- The hirer shall have sole responsibility for ensuring that any equipment is checked and re-secured in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions.
- The hirer is solely responsible for ensuring that, if the equipment is taken overseas, it complies with the legislation of any country through which it may pass.
- The hirer shall have sole responsibility for ensuring that the boxes are used strictly in accordance with the manufacturer’s guidance.
- The rental must be paid at the time of booking. In the event of cancellation of bookings with less than 7 days notice 50% of the prepayment will be made.
- No refund will be granted for pick up later than the date booked or early return. Unless Icanhire has been notified 7 days prior to the hire.
- Every care will be taken when fitting equipment to you car but Icanhire cannot be held responsible for any damage allegedly done to the car unless it is brought to the attention of our staff at the time of fitting.
- Icanhire cannot be held responsible for the failure of a third party carrier to deliver the equipment to the hirer on time.
- The hirer shall agree that any excess rentals or charges for damages can be charged to the credit/debit card used by the hirer to pay for the original rental charges, without any further reference to the the hirer.
Liability
The contract is subject to the laws of England and Wales., Icanhire accepts no responsibility for, and shall not be liable in respect of any loss; damage; alterations; delays or changes arising from civil unrest; industrial dispute; including port authority control disputes; terrorist activity; natural and nuclear disaster; fire or adverse weather conditions; unavoidable technical problems with transport; closure or congestion of ports, roads, motorways; cancellation of scheduled crossings and financial failure of ferries or transport companies in general. If it is decided that we have any liability to you, for any loss or damage which you may suffer (other than personal injury resulting from the non-performance or improper performance of the services involved in the roof box rental), that liability shall be limited to two times the price of the roof box rental.
Complaints
Icanhire is dedicated to delivering the very best customer service. However from time to time things may go wrong. Where equipment is delivered it should be inspected immediately and any faults notified to our offices within 24 hours. We will endeavour to change the item or refund any monies charged subject to the item being inspected on its return to our offices.
Equipment collected from our offices must be inspected immediately and any complaints must be made to our staff.
Data Protection
Any information hold about you will be handled strictly in accordance with the requirements of the Data Protection Act 19998.
Your equipment will held securely and confidentially and will not be shared with any third party.
